🎶 A PERFORMANCE OPPORTUNITY WITH A DIFFERENCE!
We have a truly unique festive performance opportunity coming up at the London Canal Museum exclusively for our Central London Soul Choirs and this one is definitely not your usual choir gig!
We’ve been invited to sing inside the museum’s historic ice well, located beneath a former Victorian ice house. The well was originally used to store ice imported from Norway and is approximately 11 feet deep today (it was once 42 feet deep before being partially filled in!).
It’s a really special and unusual setting but, BEFORE YOU SIGN UP - PLEASE READ‼️Th
There are a few important things to consider before putting your name forward:
- Access: You must be comfortable climbing down and back up ladders to access the ice well.
- Safety: Hard hats must be worn while inside the well.
- Alcohol: No alcohol may be consumed before entering the well.
- Commitment: You must be available for both performance sets.
Please only sign up if you’re comfortable with all the above and happy to perform in this unusual environment.
🎤 PERFORMANCE DETAILS
📅 Date: Thursday, 10th December
🎶 Set 1: 6:20pm–7:00pm
🎶 Set 2: 7:30pm–8:10pm
You must be available for both sets - unfortunately, we can’t accommodate members who can only attend one.
🎟️ BRING YOUR FAMILY & FRIENDS!
The museum is offering half-price entry tickets for family and friends, so they can come along and enjoy the experience too. Performing choir members do not need to purchase a ticket. Info will be shared when places are allocated.
✅ SIGN-UP INFORMATION
Sign-up is first come, first served, with a maximum of 25 singers due to space restrictions although we may need to consider voice types to ensure a good balance across the choir.
Apply for your place through the button below - sign-up closes on Sunday, 18th October, and places will be confirmed on Monday 19th October - thank you!
Please only sign up if you’re confident you can make both sets and are happy with the access and safety requirements.
